Sweden’s Gotland, home to abundant nature, said to be the island of roses and sheep. These socks are an expression of the traditional knit patterns of Sweden, passed down from old, creations from only needle and yarn. These patterns often feature nature, such as clovers, roses, and vines that cover the houses.
Materials: Cotton, acrylic, nylon, polyurethane.
There are many kinds of yarn and through our experience of decades in the socks business, we use yarns that are particularly suited to socks. For CHUP, certainly only the most optimal yarns that help realize the low-gauge construction and vivid designs will do!
These socks use Dralon cotton yarn, a cotton and acrylic mix yarn. Cotton by itself tends to result in socks that gradually become rougher and stiffer over many washes and wears. Acrylic is a good material for socks, as it brings and maintains softness. Some other features of Dralon cotton: hypo-allergenic, easy to clean, quick-drying and odor-resistant.
