What is Aran Knitting?

If you've seen classic, densely cabled and patterned drop-shoulder sweaters, you've seen Aran knitting, or at least knitting in the style originated in the Aran Isles - three islands off the coast of Ireland called Inishmore, Inishman and Inisheer. Aran knitting patterns are heavily textured knitting patterns which are knitted into socks, hats, vests, scarves, mittens, afghans, pillow covers, and, most commonly, sweaters.

Our RINA ARAN socks were designed with a playful mindset, incorporating 5 - 7 (depending how you count them) patterns in a medium weight year-round sock. Not too chunky, yet visually tantalizing from all angles, these socks will stylishly, subtly complement any shoes / pants ensemble.
